I was watching a show on the History Chanel recently and it was about the legalization of marijuana. The thing that really got me thinking was that Dutch countries that have it legalized make I think 1.2 million is what it said just from selling marijuana legally. Every one knows how far in debt the United States is, if our country legalized it and sold it in coffee shops or gas stations, it would get our country out of debt. Guarnteed. I don't understand why alcohol is legal and marijuana is not. There is more deaths by alcohol than any other drug in the United States. As you can see here by this chart, alcohol is third in causes of death in the United States. To tobacco, which is also legal and obesity.

| Poor Diet and Physical Inactivity | 365,0001 |
| Alcohol | 85,000 1 |
| Microbial Agents | 75,0001 |
| Toxic Agents | 55,0001 |
| Motor Vehicle Crashes | 26,3471 |

| Suicide | 30,6223 |
| Incidents Involving Firearms | 29,0001 |
| Homicide | 20,3084 |

ReplyDeleteI also think drugs should be legal because we fund gangs and support criminals by keeping drugs illegal. If you can buy meth at a gas station at least the gangsters aren't getting paid to smuggle it. Besides... if drugs were legal the same people would do them anyway.
